PROTECTED FROM AN ACT OF ARSON

A friend of mine had gone through a difficult separation and while in the process of getting her life back together, she decided to move back into the house that her ex-husband had built. It had been leased out at the time, but the tenant was kind enough to terminate the lease so that my friend could move back in.

Even though we had agreed on a date for the hand-over, my friend decided that she would give the tenant an extra day to move, a gesture of thanks for cutting the lease short. So she moved in only a day later, and thank God she did.

As we drove up to the house, we saw that it had caught fire. All that was left of the 2 story, 4 bedroom house, was a wall about 6 feet high and 8 feet wide, dark and smoky. Though the arsonist was never found, my friend suspected that her ex-husband might have been behind it but thank God for putting it in her heart to delay the move for one more day, else she and her children would have been victims of that fire.
